The return ground of the load must be connected to the shell of the power supply or 3 feet to form a loop.

All power supplies in our company are closed-loop design, which belongs to constant voltage power supply. The shell of the power supply is the reference ground and also the loop ground. Therefore, when the customer uses it, the shell of the load must be connected with the shell of the power supply. Loop causes high voltage breakdown.
